Info
I have been using the Web and Internet since 1994, when
I was studying a Computer Science Degree (BSc) course at
the University of East London (UEL) in Barking, East
London, UK.
At an early age,
I first started using technology around 3-4 years of
age by visits to seaside Arcades and also playing on basic handheld video
games systems. In the 1980's I was given an
Atari 2600 and a Sinclair ZX Spectrum, where I
learned programming in BASIC, plus playing a lot
of video games. A few years later, Amstrad
took over Sinclair and so I got a Sinclair ZX
Spectrum 128+2. My mid-teenage years I did
get a Commodore Amiga, followed by my first PC, an
Olivetti 386sx-16mhz. I started about the
Web and Internet in 1994, hosting my first website
on UEL's web server.
The early days of Home Computing, the Web
and the Internet were big factors for me in
deciding to work professionally in
Computing. My first IT job was as a Junior
IT Administrator back in 1996, administrating
Windows NT, UNIX and Novell servers. My
work lead me to mainly using and supporting
Microsoft's software and O/S's. In 2000 I
started working as a professional Web/Software
Developer up until 2015 when I reverted back to
IT Support roles.
My
early IT job experiences, I was working in
Investment Banking, Insurance, and Media.
Recently, the IT jobs I have worked in have been with
nonprofits.
Apart from IT, my Interests include music, guitar,
food, travel, photography, walks, wildlife, skiing and
watching football.
My
wife Teresa Ling and I first met at UEL in
1995, we got married in 1998. Teresa
is a Business Analyst.

I keep my YouTube channel on still: @LeeF007.
And my Software
and Code can be read or downloaded from GitHub.
